We Advance Literacy

Mamie Eisenhower Literacy Project (MELP)

Clubs are encouraged to purchase and donate books to local schools, libraries, hospitals, homeschool co-ops, and other organizations that offer reading materials. Established to honor the former Republican First Lady of the United States, Mamie Eisenhower, this program has been a long standing tradition for clubs to promote the importance of reading.

Education

In conjunction with literacy, education is an essential focus. Our network of members know the importance of high standards and accountability in our local schools.
