Early voting provides an excellent opportunity for club involvement and voter outreach.

Consider organizing club participation at early voting locations and encouraging members to volunteer together. Working alongside fellow members can make the experience enjoyable and impactful.

Election Officials help ensure fair, orderly, and efficient elections. Strong Republican participation is important to maintain parity throughout the Commonwealth.

Poll Greeting

Poll greeting is an excellent way to support voter turnout, connect with your community, and work alongside fellow Republicans.

Many local Republican units coordinate poll greeting opportunities.

Contact your local Republican committee or club for opportunities in your area.

2026 Virginia Election Law Changes

NEW RESOURCE: The Virginia Department of Elections has released its 2026 Changes to Virginia's Election Laws, a comprehensive summary of election-related legislation passed during the 2026 General Assembly Session and signed by the Governor.

The guide covers changes affecting election administration, voter registration, absentee and provisional voting, candidates and campaign finance, constitutional amendments, ranked-choice voting, the National Popular Vote Compact, and other election-related matters.

Because different provisions take effect at different times, including changes affecting the 2026 elections and others beginning in 2027, members are encouraged to review the full Department of Elections summary for details.

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TOOLKIT

Virginia voters will consider proposed constitutional amendments on the November 3, 2026 ballot. VFRW is providing public resources to help members, club leaders, and voters stay informed and better understand the issues before Election Day.

The resources below include official election information, ballot summaries, educational materials, talking points, flyers, and advocacy resources from public organizations. Please check back often, as additional materials may be added throughout the election season.

Ballot Question 1: Reproductive Rights

Official Ballot Question:

Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to (i) protect the freedom to make personal decisions about prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, birth control, abortion, miscarriage management, and fertility care; (ii) protect doctors, nurses, and patients from being punished for these decisions; and (iii) allow for restrictions on access to abortion during the third trimester of pregnancy except when the patient's health is at risk or the pregnancy cannot survive?

Ballot Question 2: Marriage

Official Ballot Question:

Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to (i) remove the ban on same sex marriage; (ii) affirm that two adults may marry regardless of sex, gender or race; and (iii) require all legally valid marriages to be treated equally under the law?

Ballot Question 3: Voting Rights Restoration

Official Ballot Question:

Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to (i) provide for the fundamental right to vote in the Commonwealth; (ii) revise the qualifications of voters so that a person convicted of a felony is not entitled to vote during his period of incarceration but is automatically invested with the right to vote upon release from incarceration; and (iii) update the existing prohibition on voting by persons found to be mentally incompetent to instead apply to persons who have been found to lack the capacity to understand the act of voting?
